To the residents of the Golden’s Bridge Fire District regarding precautions during the COVID-19 outbreak:

If you are quarantined (mandatory or self-imposed) in your home due to possible or confirmed COVID-19 exposure we ask that you PLEASE notify the Golden’s Bridge Fire Department, confidentially, by emailing chiefs@goldensbridgefd.org. Further, should you need our services we would ask you to place a sign/note on your front door prior to our arrival to alert our firefighters to take proper precautions before entering your home or business.

It is extremely important to protect our crews in order to continue to meet the emergency needs of the entire community. In other states, entire fire companies have been quarantined after they responded to a suspected case of COVID-19 and were not alerted before entering. Those firefighters are now unavailable to help anyone else for 14 days! Such a situation would pose a tremendous risk for the Golden’s Bridge community.

As always, we appreciate your understanding as we strive to provide you, our residents, the highest standard of care possible.

Professionally,

James McManus
Chief of Department

PS, if you do not live in the Golden’s Bridge Fire District, it is a good idea to alert the emergency services providers in your area.
