| Approximately 11am, firefighters were dispatched to a reported motor vehicle accident on 684 southbound. Upon arriving, State Police units reported 1 person trapped in their vehicle. E-140, R-25, E-139, and T-1 responded. The crew from E-140 worked to quickly extricate the patient from the white vehicle while T-1's officer assisted EMS with the other. Also involved but not pictured was an 18 wheeler. Damage included a broken oil pan, multiple damaged tires and rims, and the diesel tanks. Also involved was a NYS DOT blocking truck. Damage to the suspension and steering was reported. Units spent 2 hours on scene, however the highway remained partially closed for cleanup. |
