Brush Fire Training With Somers FD

On Tuesday May 22nd, the Golden's Bridge FD was joined by Somers FD at the Golden's Bridge Firehouse for some joint training. A brief video and classroom discussion was done before everyone went into the field to practice hands on. The firefighters and officers from GBFD worked with firefighters and officers of the SVFD as a team practicing many different skills. Some of these skills include brush fire operations, UTV/ATV operations , apparatus pumping, and water operations. The two agencies spent about a hour and half working together as one. We thank the SVFD for their continued support and taking time out of their schedule to come train with us! We hope to train with them again in the near future!
